Executive Summary:The flight, during which the incident occurred, was a charter flight from Esenboga Airport (LTAC) to Billund Airport (EKBI).

The First Officer was the pilot flying. The flight was uneventful until the landing roll at EKBI. During the landing roll, the First Officer as pilot flying should have made a call out to the Commander in accordance with the Operator’s standard operating procedures. Twice, the Commander warned the First Officer of the missing call out. Then the Commander observed that the First Officer was incapacitated, and the Commander took over the control of the aircraft. No further incidents occurred.

During taxi to the gate, the Commander requested medical assistance from the aerodrome control tower, and the cabin crew gave first aid to the First Officer. At the gate, a medical team arrived and the First Officer was brought to hospital. On arrival at the hospital, the First Officer had deceased.

No autopsy of the deceased was performed in Denmark. However, a medical report made by the hospital stated that the First Officer most likely died of embolism in lungs and heart. The First Officer was in possession of a valid Medical Certificate.

The incident occurred in daylight and under visual meteorological conditions (VMC).
